Introduction to the September Issue
This year has been very encouraging; with the Harrods Estates team organising high-profile events and promoting our extensive portfolio overseas. We anticipate a further visit to the Middle East in late autumn to promote both individual and new development opportunities.
Reflecting on the market, Mayfair sales remain strong due to demand for large apartments from overseas visitors wishing to invest in this exclusive area. Despite the Euro crisis and UK elections causing a limited and temporary stagnation, the Knightsbridge market is also experiencing another lively period. Demand has continued to outstrip supply in lettings, especially during the summer short-let season, which has seen some rentals at 40-50% over the long-let price.
