Shaun Drummond, Harrods Estates’ Sales Director has long been an integral part of the central London estate agent’s sales team, yet his experience with high-end property spans far beyond that.
Having originally qualified as an architect, Shaun initially specialised in high spec residential developments and five star hotel projects across Europe, including developments in Germany, Portugal and Spain, this led him to be a Project Manager for the refurbishment of the iconic London hotel Claridge’s, and then as a Sales Negotiator for Savills. Shaun then joined Harrods Estates as a Senior Sales Negotiator in 1998, and over the years progressed through a number of managerial positions before becoming a director in 2010.
Shaun’s current role involves overseeing the sales teams at Harrods Estates’ four London offices, as well as regularly contributing with his own sales. Additionally he specialises in a number of areas including conducting sales appraisals, brand management, and overseeing the hiring, training and mentoring of staff.
With over 20 years’ experience of successfully navigating the fast moving, and highly competitive central London property market, we asked Shaun about his favourite part of the role. “The clients.” Shaun says. “Having the opportunity to meet such a wide and eclectic range of interesting clients from all over the world. Also having access to the most exclusive and beautiful properties and developments in London. I would say that those are definitely the best parts of the job.”
