Q: Use three words to describe the culture at Harrods Estates?

Q: Describe a typical day in your role/ position? 

My day begins with catching up with our marketing team and working through our project planner, which has a variety of instructions at one time. I can also be found arranging and proof-reading the advertising for our different Harrods magazines, working on digital such as our social media platforms, planning events and creating marketing collateral. Last but not least I’m also in regular liaison with our external creative and PR teams to coordinate our key messages. No day is the same!

Q: Why did you choose to work at Harrods Estates? 

When I heard that there was a position available at Harrods, I jumped at the chance to work for such a prestigious and well-known company. After leaving university, where I gained a degree in Fashion Communication, I had initially interned within the Fashion and Beauty sectors but was always interested in the property and interior design sectors. The opening at Harrods Estates was therefore the perfect fit and as a first job, I felt very lucky to take up the role! Harrods is an incredible brand to work for and there are so many opportunities within such a well-respected and world-wide company. 

Q: What has been the highlight of your Harrods Estates career thus far? 

Having worked for Harrods Estates for a year, one of my favourite experiences and most definitely a highlight of the job has been property tours of some of the most beautiful homes I have ever seen in London!

Q: What do you think sets Harrods Estates apart from other luxury property brands? 

Harrods is world renowned and the brand has a certain magic about it that people from all over the world want to be a part of. Harrods Estates brings that same magic to the world of property. Clients value our bespoke service approach, which ensures that individual requirements are met effortlessly. Our team takes time to listen to the client brief carefully and is determined to meet the clients’ long-term objectives. As a result, many of our clients have been with us for generations.

Q: Who/ what inspires you in the property industry? 

As someone who loves marketing and social media, I am inspired by the way property professionals are evolving their platforms to cater for the property market. I am inspired daily to produce exciting content for our upcoming social media platform for Harrods Estates which is launching Spring 2019.

Q: What critical skills have you developed at Harrods Estates through either experience or training? 

Working at Harrods Estates means that I have the opportunity to work with a variety of amazing teams within the Harrods brand. I have learnt a lot about publishing, editing, social media, event planning, and customer care. I feel that I wouldn’t have learned these skills at such a high standard anywhere else. My colleagues have a wide range of experience in the property industry as well as marketing and I am extremely lucky to be able to learn from the best in the business.
