Summer is always a busy time for the lettings department as short lets for the summertime are always very much in demand, and this summer is no exception.

For those wishing to short let a property for the summer months, it is always advisable to register in April/ May as short let’s tend to go very quickly and are very much in short supplies. Most short lets also require a minimum rental of 4 weeks.

The lettings department are gearing up for the end of the summer as it is also a peak time for long lets. As September is a very strong month for the lettings department as students start to register with us, as well as families relocating in time for the new school year. To date students have accounted for around 15% of our tenants, but during September this is certain to increase. In 2010 students accounted for near 27% of our registered tenants and in 2009, 40%.

The majority of our lettings clients come from overseas, with nearly 50% coming from the Middle East, which is likely to be a result of our short lets.  The other 50% are a real mix of nationalities, with USA and Europe dominating slightly.

The London lettings teams

The London lettings teams at our Mayfair and Knightsbridge offices offer a tailor made service for all tenants, providing a wide range of luxury properties throughout London, which includes studios & London town houses.  We specialise in prime rentals in premium locations.

The Knightsbridge office focuses on property to let in Knightsbridge, Hyde Park, Belgravia, Kensington, Chelsea and Harrods Village, Barnes SW13.

The Mayfair office concentrates on property in Mayfair, St James's, Bayswater, Marylebone, St John's Wood, Park Lane and Regent's Park.
