Historically, developers and property agents have used luxe design and furnishings to secure high-end property sales. Nowadays, homeowners and specialised agents are progressively turning to fine art to attract affluent buyers. And one of our most recent portfolio additions is Adams Row in Mayfair – it’s the perfect example of how to showcase a luxury home, with art.
The exhibition has launched, runs until 22ndDecember and is housed in the ultra-luxurious four bedroom house which is currently on the market for £10,950,000. Showcasing an exclusive art collection by progressive painter/print maker, Piers Bourke, the house’s contemporary architecture and style make it the perfect backdrop for a private pop-up exhibition.
The selection called Flying Homeincludes a range of multidisciplinary pieces by Piers, illustrating the story of his living and working experience in South East Asia. In association with the Loughran Gallery, the works are viewable by appointment only.
As Rob Cox - one of our most respected Sales Managers’ says“There’s a distinct correlation between art and luxury homes and in fact, many of our clients are known frequenters of art exhibitions. The provision of a carefully curated art collection encourages potential buyers to spend more time viewing a home and prompts prospective buyers to make an offer.”
These days artists are being headhunted by agents to find the right artworks that best showcase the home they are selling. In this case, the collaboration wasn’t curated, in fact on the contrary, a rather serendipitous collaboration created through a friendship between Piers’ and the seller.
The innate synergism between luxury property and art is being broadened by some sellers, who endeavour to create a sense of “place-making” by incorporating aspects of artistic heritage that relate to the property.
